About the Stannary Clinic

History

Stannary Clinic was founded in 2004 in Tavistock with the aim of providing cosmetic medical treatments to the population of the South West and further afield.

The Clinic was founded and continues to be led by local Doctors. At the heart of the business is the provision of laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) therapies for a variety of cosmetic skin problems.

Stannary Clinic has undergone rigorous appraisal and approval by the Healthcare Commission - a government body that has been inspecting all private healthcare establishments since 2002 to ensure that the high standards expected of the NHS are upheld in the private sector.

Initial enquiries are invited - please call the Clinic, email us or drop us a line. We will endeavour to answer any questions promptly. If we consider that the ideal treatment for you is outside our field of expertise, we shall be able to help you find an appropriate alternative clinic or specialist. Price lists are to be found on the 'Contact' page.

Initial Consultation

At the initial consultation (around thirty minutes), one of the Clinicians will discuss with you the proposed treatment, expected duration of the course of treatment, and the anticipated cost. You will of course be able to ask any questions at this time - feel free to bring prepared questions or take notes. At the end of this consultation, a test patch will be undertaken (for Laser/IPL and Microdermabrasion treatments). There is no fee for the consultation.

Dr Graham Johnson is a qualified medical practitioner who has undergone further training in laser and IPL therapies, and in other cosmetic procedures.

Mrs Sarah Pelham is a Registered General Nurse trained in Aesthetic
procedures who undertakes Laser and IPL treatment, and who also administers
most of the Rejuvenating Injections - including  all Dermal Fillers. Sarah carries out consulations and treatments in blocks, every 4-6 weeks at both clinics.

Miss Jessica Glover and Miss Charlene Wheeler are qualified beauty therapists and Members of the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists trained in laser and IPL therapies, and in glycolic peel techniques.

Booking and Reception
All bookings are taken by our friendly reception team at Craig Chapman
Concept Salon - Diane, Jan and Caroline. They will be able to help you with
most enquiries but if you require any detailed information or advice, they
will ensure you are called back as soon as possible by one of the clinical
team.

The Stannary Clinic welcomes feedback from all clients. Confidentiality is assured and any client data is held securely and appropriately in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. A copy of our 'Patients' Guide' (a summary of our services, complaints procedure and other useful information) is kept in the waiting room and is available to all for perusal.
