Microdermabrasion

Stannary Clinic in Tavistock is now offering CrystalClear™ Microdermabrasion treatment. This new and increasingly popular therapy involves the application of salt crystals under slight pressure to the face - resulting in visible (and scientifically proven) facial rejuvenation. It can be used as a stand alone therapy or, for even more impressive results, combined with the Clinic's Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system (a process known as Combination Facial Therapy). The aim of both treatments is to improve the quality and tone of the skin - this is achieved through elimination of fine lines and stimulation of collagen formation in the skin. Microdermabrasion is also a highly effective treatment for 'problem' skin (for example acne, blocked pores and pigmented changes).

A course of 10 treatments, each 1 week apart, is offered for optimum results, with maintenance treatments every month or so. Additionally, Oxygen Therapy (which involves passing oxygen under slight pressure over the face after treatment) can be undertaken after the sixth session - this will give even more impressive results.
